Youngsters learn to scale new heights at climbing class

YOUNGSTERS scaled new heights during a summer climbing class.
Ten teenagers were taught how to use their feet and hands like ballet dancers to get up the wall at Mixenden Activity Centre, Mixenden, Halifax.

The class, part of the summer university scheme, was just one of many available at the centre throughout the summer.

Young climber Deanna Holroyd, 14, of Brighouse, said: "It's great fun, it gives you a good work out and it builds team work."
