EXAM season is here again – and here are lifestyle expert Matt Caulfield's top 10 tips for success.
Share your revision with a friend – bounce ideas off each other, get a different perspective and motivate each other. Friendly competition can help.

Make sure your study environment is tidy, organised and away from distractions.

Keep rela
xed with simple breathing exercises.

Focus and keep clear about why you are revising and what you need to do to get the grade you want.

If you start to lose motivation, think about how you will feel when it's all over. Imagine getting your results and think about how you feel.

Don't spend all your time planning - keep it simple. Work out how much time you have, break it down into hour chunks, and decide what subjects you will do in that hour. Try to do about six hours a day.

Take regular breaks. Your brain needs a rest to recharge. Take five minutes every half an hour, and after three hours make sure you have at least 30 minutes to go and do something different. Take account of this when planning.

Make your notes memorable with colour, funny phrases and silly stories – that way you will remember the information.

Reward yourself after a day's successful revision with something you enjoy.

Don't panic. In the exam, stay calm, focus, and make sure you read all the questions carefully.
