Showing off talent

A CALDERDALE secondary school is showing that Britain has got talent – and tons of it is in Mytholmroyd.
Inspired by the TV series, Calder High School is staging its own talent competition tonight.
And staff will be joining pupils up on stage.
The show will be compered by head of dance Jez Gregg, who has been brushing up on his juggling skills.
He said: "We want this to be the start of a new annual show. Everybody does have talent of some sort, and we are going to prove it."
Talent on display will include singers, kick-boxers, dancers, violinists, guitarists and a mountain bike stunt rider.
Entrants will be judged by teachers Anne Todd and head of post-16 studies Mike Howard, along with sixth former Sinead O'Grady.
There will be a trophy for the overall winner, and prizes for category winners.
The show takes place at 7.30pm in the Ted Hughes Theatre at the school. Tickets are £5 and £3 for concessions.
