Kids design and fly their own kites at Ogden Water event

HUNDREDS of home-made kites soared through the Calderdale sky in a riot of colour.
The 10th annual family workshop, at Ogden Water, Halifax, saw kites of all shapes and sizes being made and flown.
Nearly 200 people turned up to design their kites and expert advisers at the beauty spot were on hand to get even the sorriest-looking number off the ground.
Robin Dalton, assistant manager at the reservoir, said: "We had around 200 people turn up and it was a great event, really colourful and fun."
