PUPILS at Sowerby Bridge High School were getting into the groove of their Dance For All project, which was started by four of their classmates.
The four Year 8 girls, Bethany Haley, Joanna Jablonski, Jade Dublinsky and Atoosa Ali Baigi, successfully applied for a Sport Relief UnLtd award and won £500 to start their community dance project.
The money will pay for dance coaches to come into the school to teach different styles such as street dance and bollywood and the four girls will be in charge of the budget, marketing and advertising.
PE teacher Karen Watson said: "The school is very multi-cultural and the girls wanted to bring the different cultures together.
"At our first session we had more than 30 kids. We are crying out for dance in schools."
The girls will present a video of their classes to 200 other winners of the award at the City of Manchester Stadium on November 7.
