A TRIP to Amsterdam took a cat-astrophic turn for a Queensbury mum when she opened her suitcase to find her kitten stowed away inside.
Beauty, a 12-week-old black cat, crept inside owner Helen Wilmore's case as she packed.

Despite security checks at Leeds Bradford and Schiphol airports, she remained undetected after hitching the ride.

Helen, 36, said: "We'd been travelling for about 21 hours when I opened my case and out she popped.

"I couldn't believe she managed to survive in there all that time – she must have used up quite a few of her nine lives."

Helen was forced to give Beauty to a Dutch cat sanctuary.

A spokesman at Leeds-Bradford International Airport said they were investigating the matter.

Firstly, as if she was going to leave a 12 week old kitty on its own. Secondly, did she not say goodbye to the kitten before she left? Before i go to work or go to the shops or anything, i always say bye to my dog and give it a pat and a cuddle. As if she didnt hear or see the cat before she zipped up the suitcase?????

Yes Little Miss, you are very right.

Who was supposed to be looking after the poor little kitty while she was away?

And then the poor thing got left in Amsterdam!
