A TRIAL was delayed today after the defendant turned up dressed as a Knight of St George, riding a horse.
Stuart Smith, 39, of Newlands Farm, Warley, Halifax, arrived with a "Band of Brothers" at Huddersfield Magistrates Court.

He then appeared in court dressed in a St Georges smock for his trial.

He has denied charges of failing to display no smoking signs and failing to stop people smoking while in charge of the College Arms, Huddersfield.

District Judge Jonathan Bennett refused to start the trail until he had changed his clothes.

"It is a trial not entertainment. I do not want to do a trial while he is dressed in a costume. I am hear to concentrate on issues."

"It is a trial not entertainment. I do not want to do a trial while he is dressed in a costume" the judge says. But dont judges wear costumes those silly wigs and gowns, so whose the clown now.
