SCHOOL leavers arrived in style at their prom as guests turned up in limousines and even a pink fire engine.
The Year 11s from The Ridings School, Ovenden, Halifax, donned their finery for the event. As well as enjoying a buffet, including a barbecue and a disco, the youngsters voted throughout the evening for their Prom King and Queen.
Winners Daniel Russell and Sammy-Jo Sutton were academic royalty for the evening with their very own crown and sash.
Helen Dobson, director of learning in health and social care, said the evening at the Tower House Hotel, Pye Nest, Halifax, was a great celebration of the past academic year.
She said: "It was an absolutely smashing evening.
"There was lots of dancing, lots of partying. Everyone was in fantastic spirits and they all looked gorgeous – although there were a few tears at the end when everyone said goodbye."
