THREE young men made an entrance to remember at the Ryburn Valley High School Year 11 prom.
Harry Lumley, Matthew Whittaker and Elliot Whiteley arrived late in a helicopter and their classmates stood and watched at the Old Brodleians RUFC, Hipperholme.

Assistant head of Year 11 Leanne Parker said it had been rum-oured a helicopter had been hired but the rest of the party were unsure if one would arrive.

It was later judged "best arrival," beating pink limos and even an open-top bus.

The prom had a Hollywood glamour theme and was attended by 170 pupils.

There was a red carpet and Oscars ceremony. Prom king and queen were Grace Kaney and Richard Adoobadoo.

"They all looked absolutely gorgeous and it was such a lovely night," said Miss Parker.
