COCKTAIL dresses, tuxedos and suits were just some of the items being worn at an end of year prom.
The year 13 pupils at Brighouse High School held the event at Berties, Elland.

About 120 people attended the bash and they were greeted with a buck's fizz reception followed by a three course meal and dance. Awards were presented to the youngsters throughout the evening for best dressed male and female, best couple and best comedian.

Emily Cadman, student and organiser of the event, said: "This has been a nice end for everyone and is a way of saying bye to those that have been there the whole time."

The school captains gave speeches during the evening to the whole school about reaching the end of their school careers.

Class teachers were presented with plaques and gifts.
