Luxurious motors transported Year 11 pupils to the Cedar Court Hotel, Ainley Top.
Over 200 Brighouse High School students and staff attended the prom night where they enjoyed a buffet and disco.

School pastoral administrator Jayne Greenwood said many arrived in style with several limos and even an American taxi booked for the event.

"This year many boys asked the girls to the prom in proper American style rather than arriving in friendship groups," she said.

"It is always a nice surprise to see who turns up in what – last year we even had a tractor.

"All the students had been so excited."

The hotel had a black and silver theme for the evening.
