Horse dies after jumping wall and falling 20ft on to road

A horse died after jumping over a wall and falling almost 20ft.
Firefighters were called to Westercroft Lane, Northowram, just after 8.15pm last night.
The horse suffered fatal injuries after jumping the wall and landing on the road at the other side.
Fire crews cordoned off one lane of traffic to prevent any cars hitting it.
The horse died before a vet arrived.
