Village event a great success

ON behalf of Midgley Community Forum I would like to thank everyone who helped make the open gardens and studios event such a tremendous success.
The weekend was thoroughly enjoyed by over 500 visitors who appreciated the variety of gardens and the hard work put in by villagers who opened their gardens and studios, made lunches and teas, manned stalls and organised the event.
It was also enjoyed by all those taking part. We raised a record-breaking £3,020, which will go towards our community room, shop and post office. Thank you to everyone.
