Nader needs a new axe to grind

AFTER reading your article "My fight with pub axeman" (Courier, October 3) there were many things that would have been worthy of comment.
One could commend the bravery of the pub landlord and his customers in restraining the axe wielder, ponder what goes through a man's head when he decides that taking an axe into a pub is a smart thing to do, or wonder how a man who carried an axe in a public place with the intention of using it as a weapon escaped prison.
When Coun Nader Fekri read the article, the only thing that stood out for him was that the Courier had taken it upon itself to illustrate the story with a picture of an axe ("So that's an axe", (Courier, October 8).
Even if nothing related to this story interested Coun Fekri, could he not of thought of anything on a local or national level more appropriate for an elected member of an allegedly serious political party to write about in a newspaper? With voters set to polarise between the Labour Party and Conservatives at the next General Election, I suggest the Courier recycles the picture of the axe to represent his party's results in 2010.
