HALIFAX Choral Society brings a hectic season to a close tomorrow night with a "Summer Prom" concert at the Victoria Theatre, Halifax.

As well as the usual patriotic, flag-waving "Prom" numbers they will perform a stunning new arrangement of Karl Jenkins' acclaimed work The Armed Man: A Mass For Peace. Conductor will be John Pryce-Jones.

The choir first performed the original orchestral version of this work a couple of seasons ago to great acclaim. In this new, specially written band version, Halifax Choral Society will be accompanied by the world famous Black Dyke Band and will be joined on stage by the Bradford Festival Choral Society.

Tickets for the concert, which starts at 7.30pm, are on sale at the theatre box office (tel: 01422 351158) with prices ranging from £8 to £25 (concessions available).
