CALDERDALE soul sensation Michael Mallinson will share a West Yorkshire stage tomorrow with Manchester music icons Happy Mondays and pop trio Scouting for Girls.
The teenager from Shelf, a former pupil at Hipperholme and Lightcliffe High School, will sing at the Bingley Music Live event at Myrtle Park, organised by Bradford Council.
The confirmed line-up for tomorrow is Happy Mondays, Scouting for Girls, The Automatic, Terrorvision, Delays, Infadels, Ebony Bones, Sergeant, Billy The Kid and Michael, whose soulful voice and precocious song-writing talent brought him to the industry's attention last year at the age of 17.
Tickets are £12.50 in advance and £20 on the day (box office: 01274 436000).
On Sunday Liverpudlian band Echo and The Bunnymen, who had hits in the 1980s with singles including The Killing Moon and The Cutter, will headline the two-day festival.
Also on the bill are Alabama 3, Natty, The King Blues, Jubilee, The Sylvias, Desert Eskimo, Redwire and Hundred Dollar Cigar. Sunday's event is free and musicians will take to the stage both days from 11.30am.
