Join the Q for new folk night

HEBDEN Bridge musician Steve Tilston is on the bill at the opening night of a new venue at the Victoria Theatre, Halifax on Wednesday (8pm).
Q Folk is a series of folk/acoustic gigs taking place in "Q", a new performance space created as part of the theatre's recent refurbishment, between now and Christmas, John Sharp, of Q Folk, says "An architecturally designed, intimate venue with state of the art sound and lighting, 'Q' is the ideal environment to enjoy an evening in the company of this well-established, world-class musician.
"Steve Tilston has been at the forefront of the UK and International folk scenes for many years. His songs have been covered by the likes of Fairport Convention and Dolores Keane."
Currently promoting his new album Ziggurat, Steve will be joined by Dave Bowie on bass for this event, and just 60 tickets (£12 each) are available from the Victoria Theatre box office (tel: 01422 351158).
