Brighouse and Rastrick Brass Band opens its concert season this month with a performance in its own back yard.
On September 25 it will perform at St Martin's Parish Church, Brighouse.
Church spokesman Alan Sparks said the band last performed at the church two years ago to celebrate the building's 175th anniversary.

Since then the church had become a venue of choice for amateur and professional groups because of its excellent acoustic environment.

"In recent months the church has hosted several highly successful music events including the Yorkshire Youth Choir, a midsummer soiree by Brighouse High School musicians and Honley Male Voice Choir," said Mr Sparks.

"And, the CD of The Three Musketeers, performed by the Northern Ballet Theatre Orchestra, was recently recorded in St Martin's."

The band concert includes an organ prelude of light music and popular classics presented by church organist Brian Craven and local singer Rachel Crisp.

Tickets are now available from 01484 722785.
