The visitors were never able to get their game on track and provided little to pressurise the home side, except for a short spell near the end of the first half, when strong defence was needed to prevent a score.
Rishworthians' No 8 James Clarke t
ore through the visitors' defence time after time and also put in some big hits in the tackle, and from one of his early runs the Copley men gained a penalty, which prop Wes Aldridge duly kicked.
Rishworthians continued to attack and got the first of their eight tries after prop Martin Brook and flanker Tom Clough set up full back Joe Billing who made the decisive break before finding Clarke who sent supporting centre David Wood in for the touchdown, Aldridge adding the conversion.
It was constant pressure from the home side and from a well worked lineout move, Clarke broke through and was able to get the ball to hooker Simon Edmundson for the try.
The No 8 was then on hand himself, picking up at the scrum to drive over, Aldridge again converting to make it 22-0 at the break.
Rishworthians were even more dominant in the second half, Clarke getting his second try soon after the restart, picking up from a scrum near the York line.
The lead increased when after good work by Edmundson and left wing Nick Faulkner, replacement prop Richard Turner was driven over by the pack, Aldridge converting.
The sixth try started with replacement flanker Jioti Bakoso ripping the ball clear from a maul and finding young centre Ben Porritt, who sliced through the defence before putting right wing Anthony Shoesmith over in the corner.
Soon after, the centre burst through again and linked well with Faulkner, before taking the return pass to add his name to the scorers.
In the last minutes, Bakoso almost drove over, but the ball was recycled and a deft reverse pass from scrum half Gary Morris found fullback Joe Billing, who dived over in the corner for the final try.
