THE Halifax Town Supporters' Trust is pressing ahead with plans to form a members' club.
Following a statement from the consortium which lacks concrete proposals a business plan is hurriedly being worked up by the trust.
That should be ready by the middle of next week and talks with Calderdale Council leaders are being sought.
Th
e Football Association and Unibond League are also being contacted and help is being given by Supporters Direct which helps fans run clubs.
Trust spokesman Gavin Butler said following last week's creditors meeting fans still had no clear view of the consortium's intentions - and whether they would walk away or not.
"We are pressing on with our own plans," said Mr Butler.
"I think the longer the consortium mess about the less support they will get.
"More people are now wanting our plan to be the way forward rather than the back-up plan."
The Halifax Town supporters' club committee has put its weight behind the consortium but will back the trust if the businessmen lose interest.
The consortium's statement said it was still waiting for news from the football authorities on future options for the club.
"We are desperately keen for the most favourable outcome. A lot of work is going on behind the scenes to try and secure a future for the football club, in line with recent standing. When we are in a position to make a public announcement, we certainly will do."
