Lindsey takes on CBI role

Lindsey Parnell, chief executive and president of InterfaceFLOR, has become chairman of the CBI's Yorkshire and Humber Council.
He was production director of Firth Carpets, Brighouse, when it was bought by Interface, which has its UK headquarters and factory at Shelf.

Interface has said it is on course to achieve its "Mission Zero" target – its goal to eliminate any negative effect it may have on the environment by 2020.

Mr Parnell said he hoped he could show CBI members and the broader business community that "sustainability positively impacts growth and the bottom line."
