HALIFAX were unable to repeat their heroics of the previous week as they bowed out of National Two with a whimper.
The afternoon began well for the visitors with Dave Hall steaming in for a fine try which Joe Knowles converted for a 7-0 lead.
However, Halifax failed to ntake advantage of a stiff breeze blowing down the Threshfield pitch and Wharfedale hit back to lead 20-7 until Knowles reduced the arrears with a penalty ahead of the break.
Unfortunately Halifax were unable to stem a green tide after the break as the hosts earned a deserved success with a further three converted tries.
