Shea's ace in vain

A TOTAL of 178 golfers participated in the Bradley Hall President's competition in which, despite wet conditions, a number of excellent scores were returned.
Highlight of the day was a hole in one by Mick Shea on the second, and while it did not rescue his round it ensured plenty of entertainment in the clubhouse afterwards.

The course was extremely wet in many places having been closed for two days.

The President's Salver, for golfers over 50 years of age, was won by Roger Turner, who shot a nett 65 off his 14 handicap, while the President's Putter for best gross was again won by Andrew Whitworth (+1) with a score of 69.

The junior prize was won by the junior captain Jonathan Gittins (10) with a nett score of 68

The Directors' Prize, competed for by directors of the club, was won by Mike Riley (10) with a nett score of 67.
