ONE of the area's most established clubs and one of its newer additions shared the glory in Sunday's Halifax and Huddersfield Union Foursomes finals at Bradley Hall on Sunday.
Bradley Hall 1 grabbed the honours in the Scratch competition, Andy Appleyard and Andy Shaw making the most of local knowledge on their home course by surging to an impressive 6&5 victory over formidable Dewsbury Dist GC pairing Ben Crowther and Edward Battye in the Goodalls Caravans sponsored competition.
But there was also joy for a more recently established club as in excellent conditions, Castlefields 1 duo Shaun Harris and Ryan Joyce cruised to an 8&7 victory over Meltham 1 pair Peter Branston and Martin Latham in the final.
Willow Valley 1 took the honours in the Woodbrim sponsored Junior Foursomes final with Lewis Howell, who has had a great season, and playing partner Tom Calvert edging to a one hole triumph over highly rated Crosland Heath duo Michael Lawrie and Alex Brown.
