A GREAT effort by the Crow Nest Park team saw them triumph in the final of the Halifax and Huddersfield District Ladies Evening Golf League.
They saw off Todmorden at Halifax GC at the weekend to land the trophy in a final which was played in a great spirit and which was a fitting finale to what has been a closely contested competition throughout the summer.
Crow Nest Park and Bradley
Hall both finished the regular season with 13.5 league points with Todmorden and Hebden Bridge each ending on 12 points.
Crow Nest Park met Hebden Bridge in the semi final at Outlane and though flooded greens forced play to be curtailed on the original date of Sunday, August 10, it was eventually completed on Monday, September 8 with the former running out 3-2 winners.
The other semi final at Hebden Bridge on Sunday, August 17 was very close, Todmorden edging past Bradley Hall after the last match had to be decided on the 19th hole, only for Todmorden to lose out to Crow Nest Park in this week's final at Ogden.
