Crow Nest all set for Pro Am

IT is all systems go at Crow Nest Park at the moment as just days after staging their annual Lady Captain's Day, the club are preparing to host their first ever Pro-Am.
A total of 29 four man teams, which will each feature a professional, will take part in the event this Friday, June 27, and the professionals will be playing for a first prize of £700 cash with prizes down to 15th position, while the amateur prize fund is goods to the value of £900.
There is also a hole in one competition for the professionals with the prize being a car worth at least £30,000.
Club officials are hoping the event will be as successful as the Lady Captain's Day when it was Vice Captain Helen Pearson who took the honours with a magnificent 39 points Stableford score in terrible, wet conditions.
As she presented her with her trophy, Lady Captain Pam Hollingworth paid special tribute to her Vice Captain who has just had the best golfing fortnight of her life.
The 19 handicapper won the President's Day at Crow Nest Park and the English Women's Association LGU Silver Medal North Final at the Hartlepool GC to crown a fabulous two weeks.
Hollingworth went on to congratulate all the winners and thank the ladies' section for organising a superb day which continued well into the evening with forties style entertainment.
