A street in Halifax town centre has been cordoned off by maintenance workers after a roof collapsed yesterday.

The fire service, police and the Calderdale Council were all in attendance in Southgate yesterday afternoon after the roof of Paw Prints roof fell through.

Two fire engines from Illingworth Fire Station and one from Halifax Fire Station were called to the scene around 3pm.

It was confirmed no one was injured.
